"About Me" (Blog #1)

I am Robinson Ivory. I was born May 1st, 1998 at Hoag Hospital in Newport Beach. I spent most of my early years growing up in Huntington Beach, where I attended Kettler Elementary. In 2005, when i was in 1st grade, the school was shut down due to financial instability. I moved shortly after to attend Newport El, a school on the beach. After only two years of attendance I transferred to a Military Academy in Anaheim because of my discipline. I spent my first two years at St. Catherine's Military Academy hating it and fighting the system of double standards and favoritism. When I entered 6th grade I realized that conforming was the only way. I soon started rising in ranks from private to Staff Sergeant. At the end of one of my most prosperous school years, my parents pulled me out and dropped me into Corona del Mar.

This was also involuntary, but the economy of 2009 was too threatening to pay for private school. Immediately I started hating it. The entitled kids from money,  the bullying, the curriculum, and worse of all the administration. Not a good way to start off so by the end of 1st semester I was ready to go back to my comrades. In a short year and a half I finished off Military School  as a 1st Lieutenant and 3rd in charge of the regiment. Then it was back to the drawing board: Freshman year at Corona del Mar was staring me straight in the face during the closing days of June…..

Being Charitable (#5)

The American Kidney Fund is a charity that helps fight kidney disease through direct financial support to patients in need, health education and prevention efforts. Located in Rockville MD  the American Kidney Fund, is ran by John P Butler, the chair, and LaVarne A. Burton, C.E.O. The American Kidney Fund is an Organization which receives a substantial part of its support from a governmental unit or the general public.

This Charity is important to me for multiple reasons. One of which is that here have been a few members in my family who have had kidney failures or collapses and were in need of a transplant. Another is that my friend and fellow team-mate, Alex Chisholm, died from a lacerated kidney while riding his dirt bike with no one around.Technology wasn't nearly where it is now, therefor finding candidates for organ donors was hard. The AKFI  makes it easier for those in need to find the help they deserve.

Perseverance Ivory p.2 (Blog #6)

I have yet to 'live,' in my short 17 years of life, but at least I know exactly how I want to live. In a land of opportunity and wealth, anything is possible as long as you set your mind to it. And with that the possibilities are endless, but its you, the operator, who inevitably decides what you make of your life.
There is always something that someone will want and will be willing to strive to extraordinary lengths in order to achieve that final objective. For me, the chase for goals has already started. I want to go to college, specifically Alabama. After that I will go into real estate and freight shipping clean into a smooth running job. From there it's pretty much limitless when it comes to your options. My main squeeze though, is not making money, but making money while doing something I love.
